Atara Psychotherapy is inspired by the Greek word ataraxia, symbolizing deep inner calm, emotional balance, and freedom from distress. It represents a state where external chaos and internal struggles no longer dictate your well-being- a place of clarity, resilience, and self-trust.

Meet Irene

Irene is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with a Master’s in Counselling Psychology. She recognized through her work that, alone as we may feel at various times in our lives, our shared emotional experiences with each other are endless. Guided by a deep appreciation for human connection, she approaches therapy with warmth, curiosity, and compassion. Irene blends diverse health and wellness models to support the whole person, helping clients navigate life’s challenges and create meaningful, lasting change.

We offer both in-person and online therapy options to meet your needs and preferences. Our in-person office is conveniently located in Markham, ON, providing a welcoming space for connection and exploration. Can’t make it into the office? No worries – our secure online option offers the flexibility and convenience of accessing mental health care from the comfort of your home.
